Project Overview :
Another Man’s Dungeon is a two-month multiplayer FPS project developed at G.STUDIO, a game creation association within Quest Education. Alongside three classmates (all credited on the GitHub repository below), we built a competitive game where players race to defeat monsters as quickly as possible and reach the end of the map before their rival, securing the chance to invade their opponent’s world.
While the core idea was strong, we faced major optimization challenges—highlighting our limited experience at the time. Despite this, the project was an invaluable learning experience that helped me truly understand the foundations of game development, including the main challenges to address and the best practices for avoiding beginner mistakes.
Skills Developed :
AI Programming: Pathfinding implementation and building a Finite State Machine
Level design: Creating fully playable and complete maps
Project management: Team organization and task distribution
Animation: Creating and integrating character and monster animations with Unity Animator
